Fencing Score

Check out this app. It is used for referees to keep score of fencing bouts. This can do all of the essentials plus much more.

It has a timer, score buttons, reset buttons, period button and a button to change time. The main page has all of this:

Front Page

It also has the ability to keep track of penalties, both red and yellow cards (If you need a black card, just turn your phone around.) It can also start a injury timer if something bad happens. Here is the other screen:

There are also setting (Menu>Settings). They let you:

Just what my (fencing) daughter was looking for and even better because it was free – now I will have to look for something similar for my WebOS Phone :-(

BTW – I noticed that it is possible to decrement a fencer’s score with a careless finger movement during the pause but not increment it.

would you accept suggestions for development, and how do we submit them?

    Hi,

thanks for this free software it is great!

Would it be possible to remove the double score tab/button when foil is selected?

    many thanks,

    Gennaro

I am an epee fencer, so I am not familiar with foil, but I thought that there were no doubles in foil; only one person could score a touch at a time. Is this correct?

      • Gennaro says:

yes that’s correct, no double hits in foil.
I did, however, find the option to remove the ‘double button’ in Settings.
        thanks

sabre bouts aren’t working at all. It wont time them. It wont even start timing them. This is very inconvenient.

    • Tay Software says:

Thank you for your comment. I am an epee fencer, so I don’t know sabre too well. I thought that sabre didn’t keep time, there was just a break at 8 touches. Is this correct?

      Thanks
